LiPo batteries don't take kindly to abuse, so if you push them too far, they might just turn on you and catch fire. To keep my quad's battery safely in place and protect it from potential crashes, I came up with this protective case.It houses a Turnigy 5000mAh battery (169 x 48 x 25mm) snugly, has a slot for the wires to exit through one side panel. The opposite side panel is left open to allow easy insertion of the battery, which is then securely fastened using a lower clamp and nyloc nuts.I had to use epoxy resin glue to lock the bolts into position (not the most elegant solution, but it gets the job done). By employing nyloc nuts, they should come loose in mid-air, which would be an extremely undesirable outcome!
