LiPo 2s 2200mAh battery case for Tamiya RC Cars

Remix of LANEBoysRC LiPo case for Tamiya TL-01B chassis. This chassis is used with Baja King & Baja Champ models. The case accommodates a 2S 2200mAh Turnigy battery in a 3D printed shell that fits into the original oval NiMH space. The balance plug can be tucked into the lid's cavity so it doesn't get damaged. This battery holder is also suitable for other Tamiya models where you are converting to LiPo such as TL-01, TA-01, DF-02. Off-the-shelf round LiPo's don't fit into older Tamiya models because they are approximately 5mm too long, and this design allows for upgrade while still working with older chassis dimensions. A LiPo battery significantly improves the car's performance, making it well worthwhile upgrading. Version 2 (Updated with end cap design) - This version prints vertically to improve print quality and uses a tight sliding fit end cap to secure the battery. It's a neater solution that doesn't require any screws to hold together. You may need to very lightly sand the lip where the two parts slide together, but it's designed to be a tight fit so it won't come apart during use. The updated OpenSCAD script is included. Version 1 (Original with two halves) - The case dimensions have been modified to fit a Turnigy 2s 2200 LiPo battery along with additional cutouts to reduce weight and total printing time. Screw holes have also been adjusted to allow an M3 screw to be threaded in by hand rather than using a threaded insert. Print the case in two halves, then screw together with the battery in place. The modified OpenSCAD script with changes is included.
