Lionel Prewar Passenger/Freight Car Frame

This is a Lionel Prewar style freight or passenger frame. Direct measurements were taken from an authentic Lionel Prewar car to ensure seamless integration of hook and latch style couplers. The wheel mounts, however, were not designed by me; I simply borrowed them from another source. Nonetheless, they are strategically positioned on the frame so that Lionel axles and prewar wheels fit perfectly with a minimal amount of sanding. I currently have two of these cars operating smoothly on my layout. In the near future, I will release remixes of the freight car designs. Additionally, I am actively working on an English style passenger set. These projects are specifically designed for O scale trains. Please note that you may need to attach a few washers to the bottom of the frame for added weight, as these cars tend to be slightly lightweight. Alternatively, feel free to design your own top for this frame!
