Here's a replacement Red/Green Switch Direction Indicator for Lionel o-27 gauge model railways that you can easily print yourself with a 3D printer. Since it costs less than $10 to buy online, I decided to give printing it a try. You can still purchase this item online for under $10, but having a 3D printer at your disposal makes it just as convenient to create one from scratch. The red and green stickers that come with the original product are easy to replicate using an inkjet printer on a label. The resulting switch functions perfectly, matching the quality of the original. However, I found that the OpenSCAD and STL files needed some tweaking - scaling the Y-axis to 41mm in Cura resolved any discrepancies. To get the best results, be sure to make this adjustment as well.
