By 1598, both lions were proudly placed at the Villa Medici in Rome, and since 1789, they have been showcased at the iconic Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence. The lions stand tall, each with a sphere or ball strategically positioned under one paw, as if gazing off into the distance. The Medici lions' impressive replicas can be found in many other locations, each with its own unique twist and variation.
