This fantastic scan was created by Rigsters using photogrammetry: https://sketchfab.com/models/d5e6b6a11da646f68a5fcba661dcae99#\n\nI tweaked the mesh a bit, scaled it up and oriented it perfectly, then added a flat base.\n\nhttp://www.3dwp.nl\n\nMore details:\n\nLion Crushing a Serpent (1832) by Antoine-Louis Barye (1796 - 1875)\n\nAlthough his contemporaries questioned his style and animal subjects, Barye is now highly regarded as the founder of the Parisian animaliers. The majestic lion, representing the new King and people of France, is shown in a victorious battle against the serpent, symbolizing Charles X (reigned 1824–1830) and the overthrown Bourbon dynasty. The pair also suggests celestial approval for Louis-Philippe’s reign by referencing the constellations of Leo (the lion) and Hydra (the sea serpent), which “ruled the skies” during the days of the July Revolution (July 27-30, 1830).\n\nThe scanned sculpture is a copy made by Guy Hain, who is a French art forger who produced numerous fake bronze sculptures. The Lion is located near the entrance of Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen.
