Lion Box

Lion Box

thingiverse

This is a box made for my youngest son, who has an intense passion for animals and lions in particular. It's a straightforward box featuring a lion head model attached to the lid. A simple latch mechanism is installed at the back of the lion head, allowing you to lock the box securely. I printed all components in PLA with 20% infill to provide the lid with extra strength and supports throughout (to hold the sides of the lid and the lion's teeth). After printing, you need to insert the lock part into the hole on the lid and glue it to the notch at the back of the lion head. A straightened paper clip was used for the hinge, but a piece of 1.75mm filament will also fit snugly in its place. Designed in Fusion 360 and printed on my Robo 3D R1+, I would love to see your prints with a photo attached if you decide to print this model.
