Two lions guard the Art Institute of Chicago on its north side; they stand to the left when facing the front. Created by American artist Edward Kemeys in 1893, this pair of bronze lions with green patina measures 261.7 x 114.2 x 287 cm. The gift was from Mrs. Henry Field in 1893, and they can be found at the Michigan Avenue entrance/steps. This artwork is properly attributed, and scans have been published after post-processing in various software.
