I made this gift for my buddy who just started studying Computer Science in college. It's got two spaces where you can jot down your name and phone number. To get it looking decent, I slapped some white cardboard underneath and used a pen to scribble out the details – or you could try using a permanent marker on white plastic, that works pretty well too.
