This is one of eight lintels showcasing a nine-generation lineage of rulers at Yaxchilan. The ruling line culminates in the accession date 9.5.2.10 6 1 cimi 14 muan, January 14th, AD 537, for Lord Mah K'ina Skull 11, also known as Ruler 10. Dating from the fifth century, early in the Yaxchilan sequence, this lintel is a significant find. It has been proposed that Lord Bird Jaguar IV, the primary figure featured in these lintels, played a key role in their creation.
