Lint Roller Mount
thingiverse
With standard lint roller holders, the roller frequently comes loose, but we can do it better. If you have a cat or dog, you most likely have a lint roller at home. The parts Koro Shaft R&L will be clamped together (with the lint roller in between the arms), aligned to each other by the two pins. One side should be glued in (L or R Koro Shaft). The actual part that grips into the hole of the lint roller is not done yet because I need to see which bearings are available. The bearings will be connected via a pin (also not yet designed for bearing reasons) to the Koro Shafts L&R hole (press fit on both sides). If you have made it this far, then take the Koro tab handle and screw it onto the assembled Koro Shafts. This should secure it nicely so that it doesn't fall apart. Why a bone design handle? Ask my wife. The Koro Shafts should be printed with support, while the handle can be printed without support. As soon as I have printed it, I will upload pictures and also the remaining parts (let's call them bearing pin & discs). All designed with FreeCAD. I will upload the bearing pin & discs FreeCAD file too because your lint roller may be different. My lint roller width is 161mm, hole diameter is 38.4mm, outside diameter is 52mm. Happy printing. Update April 2nd: added the pins and adapter for a 608 bearing plus a longer handle with full thread to print standing. I printed the shafts L&R lying flat and had to cut off 7.5mm from the bottom (Cura settings) because I didn't like how the tab came out. If printed standing, the strength of the part is much lower and the shafts may snap more easily. I will post some pictures later. By the way, I tried wood filament but the filament I have on hand is cheap and can't be printed with a small nozzle plus with the big nozzle the threads are very tight. Update April 23rd: changed the shafts design for easier printing, handle for the same reason. Every fine detail at the end should be used for best results. (Optional Handle with bone or knob end, choose one.) Happy April.
