If you walk around Athens you will see a variety of ornate handcrafted security screens. This design takes inspiration from them and showcases the ability of 3D printing to print complex geometries without support material [nearly zero scrapped material involved in printing design]. We present two different assemblies you could for you to print (please check the Printing Details section for more information). This product has been designed for an E27 lampholder [40mm Diameter], if you can't find one of those let us know and we can supply you with an adapter plate/alter the design. We printed this design with Silver, Satin Shine + Pearl White PLA [Real Filament + Ultimaker]. We have tested this product for over a year with a 15W light bulb and there has been no deformation of the PLA. If you use PLA we wouldn't recommend going much higher than this. To print this design we used an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer and the print in the photos is printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle [you can also use 0.25mm, 0.4mm +0.8mm]. We would love to see your prints!
