LinkIt is a 2-player abstract strategy game designed by Tyler Mills (Xyvir Games) that plays without a board and only with one type of piece. The aim of the game is to capture more of the board than your opponent, similar to Othello. Each player chooses a color indicated on each double-sided 2D tile. In turns, players place tiles orthogonally next to existing pieces but not diagonally, displaying their respective color side up and in any direction they choose. If a construct is created as per the rules, it takes immediate effect. New constructs may generate further constructs until no new construct can be formed. The game features three constructs: TurnIt!, TakeIt!, and LinkIt! Each has specific conditions to be met for activation. Note that if TurnIt! and TakeIt! are activated simultaneously, the former is ignored. Also, only one construct can be in play at a time. The game requires a dual-color printer and 49 tiles in total. To print, use sets of 25 and 24 tiles or four at a time, then 25 and 20 to complete it as long as the total count is 49.
