Link (Zelda) Hanging Ornament

<p>This is an 8-Bit Link (as in <em>The Legend of Zelda</em>) hanging ornament made specifically for multi-extruder printers (though I have included a one-piece model for single-extruder machines). It's perfect for the rear-view mirror, Christmas tree, etc.</p> <p><strong>Please be aware that - though some post-printing assembly is required - the fully colourized version of this model was not designed to be printed in pieces on a single-extruder machine and assembled afterwards.</strong> Use <em>link_onepiece.stl</em> to get everything at once in a single colour.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The print in the cover photo was done on a quad extruder Prusa i3 MK2 MMU as follows:</p> <p><strong>Step 1:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>link_step1_white.stl</strong> <em>white PLA (extruder 1)</em></li> <li><strong>link_step1_red.stl</strong> <em>red PLA (extruder 2)</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>Step 2:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>link_step2_brown.stl</strong> <em>brown PLA (extruder 1)</em></li> <li><strong>link_step2_flesh.stl</strong> <em>pale flesh PLA (extruder 2)</em></li> <li><strong>link_step2_green.stl</strong> <em>green PLA (extruder 3)</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>Assembly:</strong><br/> Because I used more colours than I have extruders, some post-printing assembly is required. I have allowed for some wiggle room between the various parts, so things should fit together fairly easily with little-to-no sanding/clean-up. You basically just have to glue the Link model onto the white backplate and add a string/wire for hanging.</p> <p>For those of you who have fewer extruders (or who like painting a lot more than I do), I have included <strong>link_onepiece.stl</strong>, which can be used to print everything at once in a single colour/material, no post-printing assembly required.</p> <p>When printed at 100% size, the ornament measures approximately 42mm x 48mm.</p> <p>Happy printing!</p>
