Link Blocks Bracelet - UPDATED

This project was inspired by Jonathan Rochelle's brilliant design for a snap-together bracelet for kids, which I found truly inspiring. The concept behind this derivative of Jonathan's design is to create a more functional and durable version that is just as fun for kids. By not using any of Jonathan's files, but instead designing something similar myself after studying his photographs and description, I was able to put my own unique spin on the idea. There are two styles of empty block units that connect like Jonathan's, but without a top part, allowing kids to be creative with their designs. Additionally, there is a press-fit top that can be customized and pressed onto each block, giving kids endless possibilities for personalization. Each block is linked to the chain with an easy place-and-twist action, making it simple for kids to connect the blocks while holding them at 90 degrees. The earlier version was prone to bending too much when joined, but this updated design is stiffer and more durable. While it may be a bit harder to join, it's also much less likely to come apart by accident. I've also included special click-fit joiners that allow kids to easily close and open the bracelet with one hand. The press-fit tops are designed with a tight tolerance, requiring a bit of effort to push them in, but they won't pop out without significant force. To get started, I've provided STL files for the digits 0-9, capitals A-Z, and a star design, giving kids a solid foundation for their creations. The idea behind this project is that generic blocks can be pre-printed in various colors, allowing kids to customize their press-fit tops in any order they like. Each empty block takes around 7 minutes to print on my Printrbot, while the press-fit tops require less than 5 minutes each. With no support material needed for these prints, kids can focus on being creative and having fun. UPDATE: I've recently fixed an error in Block Unit 2 and re-uploaded the Sketchup file and STL file to ensure that everyone has access to the corrected design.
