Fragile thin plastic components on 50-year-old cameras are a concern. Fortunately, only a small portion of a super Technika is comprised of this delicate material, specifically the rear panels that serve as part of the locking mechanism. These components should prove to be effective replacements and even more durable than their originals due to their increased thickness and design without the need for cosmetic leather inserts.
