Linear Servo Actuators
thingiverse
This is a versatile linear servo actuator (pusher style) designed for various space constraints and force outputs. Two sizes have been created, catering to different requirements. These actuators utilize continuous rotation servos, keeping costs remarkably low. Pre-made actuators of this type can cost approximately $70 USD. The "mini" version is compact enough to fit into smaller spacers but has a significantly lower force output. In contrast, the "large" version boasts a higher force output, although it is larger in size compared to the "mini". Watch this video for a step-by-step guide on assembling and operating both sizes: https://youtu.be/2vAoOYF3m8U If you enjoy this design, you may also appreciate my Motorized Turntable with Magnetic Attachment Plates: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3353201 To stay updated on the latest 3D printing projects and show appreciation for the work, visit my YouTube channel and subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/potentprintables The design was inspired by a hackaday article from 2016, which showcased a 3D-printed case turning a servo into a high-quality linear actuator. Included in the files are lists of materials required for each size, along with affiliate links for non-3D printed parts. STL quantities to print: Mini version: Motor Bracket, Mini Version (1x) Pinion Gear, Mini Version (1x) Large version: Motor Bracket, Large Version (1x) Pinion Gear, Large Version (1x) Pusher (compatible with both sizes; choose desired length and print 1x): 75mm Long (gives stroke of ~50mm) 100mm Long (gives stroke of ~75mm) 125mm Long (gives stroke of ~100mm) 150mm Long (gives stroke of ~125mm)
