Linear Insulator for KLM KT34 Antenna
prusaprinters

A friend reached out to me as they knew someone who needed replacement linear insulators for an antenna they were trying to repair. I was provided with a single insulator, which was cracked due to weather and age, and from this I was able to use a caliper and generate something resembling this insulator.

The top ring is a bit thicker than the actual model as it seemed that was where the cracking had occurred. I have printed a batch of them out of PETG material at about 80-90% infill. They have not been installed as of yet, but we will see how well they weather!

You can find a copy of the manual (as well as a better representation of the part) here: http://www.hamanuals.com/MMans/KLM83.pdf

Print instructions

Print Settings

Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2mm

Infill: 80-90%
