Linear Insulator for KLM KT34 Antenna

Linear Insulator for KLM KT34 Antenna

A buddy reached out to me, knowing I had a connection who desperately needed replacement linear insulators for an antenna they were struggling to repair. They handed over a single insulator that was severely cracked due to harsh weather and age, which I was able to use with a caliper to recreate something very similar. The top ring is slightly thicker than the actual model as it seemed that's where the cracking had occurred. I've printed out a batch of them using PETG material at about 80-90% infill. They haven't been installed yet, but we'll see how well they hold up to the elements! You can find a copy of the manual (and a better representation of the part) here: http://www.hamanuals.com/MMans/KLM83.pdf Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 80-90%
