Linear Grizzly Bear Upgrade with 300x300x400mm Print Area Ful Linear Grizzly Bear upgrade with a large print area. Extrusions Replacements/Addons Required: Replace v_slot_top with one 390mm 2040 v-slot. Replace v_slot_vertical_sides with one 550mm 2040 v-slot. Replace v_slot_front_rear with one 470mm 2040 v-slot. Replace v_slot_bottoms with one 500mm 2040 v-slot. Replace Z axis lead screws with 500mm ones. Add one 500mm 2040 v-slot for bottom side (Y rail support). Add one 490mm 2020 v-slot (for X rail support). Add one HGH15CA block and one HGR15RH x 380mm rail on X. Add one HGW15CC block and one HGR15RH x 500mm rail on Y. Add two MGN12H blocks and two MGNR12R x 490mm rails on Z. Instead of HGW15CA and HGW15CC, use TRH15VN and TRH15FL from TBI Motion. I did this for the same quality at half the price. For rail alignment, print and use the helpers. MGN12H is too floppy for my taste; I used it only on Z axis and couldn't beat HGW15 with its 4 rows of balls and precision. The whole frame is taller and wider than the original Bear to accommodate various styles of extruders. It still uses the entire printable bed area with space to spare for wire brush, external purge containers, etc. The X-carriage is designed for the Bear Extruder (last dev). Cable management for the X carriage is done with zip-ties; however, it's up to you to come up with a better idea and share it back. There is no History in some of the Fusion Files for some of the modded parts. Most of the models come from a different system and have no history or sketches. This is the latest iteration with what I am currently using. Update February 19, 2020: I used a Y idler tensioner from Prusa i3 Bear Upgrade 2.1 (dev branch), slightly remixed and beefed up for using 9mm belt and the so-called "Gates toothed idler 20T for 9mm belt and 5mm bore". Original Gates being so expensive and hard to come by, I took actual measurements from drawings from Powge seller on Aliexpress. That's what I bought. I added a custom MGN12H Hemera X-carriage and mount asked by a user. Update February 20, 2020: I added a 9mm Y belt holder to match the 9mm Y idler tensioner, also remixed from Prusa i3 Bear Upgrade 2.1 (dev branch). Be advised that the mounting holes are centered with the belt, not offset like on the original Bear. This holder most probably won't work on a normal Prusa carriage; it will result in an off-centered belt path because the holes need to be manually drilled into the CR10 or custom Y carriage for the 300x300mm bed. I don't have a Prusa, so I cannot say. Anyway, Fusion 360 source is included, so you can customize it as needed. Update March 14, 2020: I added optional Y-end endstop support (for non Trinamic boards). I updated fusion360_sources.zip. Update March 19, 2020: I added hemera_bltouch_MGN12H mount with 35mm offset. It definitely covers the entire 300mm printing area of this design. Update March 25, 2020: I added Voron Afterburner x-carriage & mount for HGH15CA (this design only).
