Linear Gearbox Polar Wedge
thingiverse
<b>Polar Wedge with linear gearbox</b> This is a little but solid polar wedge for astrophotography. I designed 2 versions of the Base, one with a 1/4" mount and one with a Arca-Swiss Base but the Arca-Swiss Base is much more stable. The PolarWedge can rotate about 60° The Setup, you can see on the photos, weight is 4292 gramms and it is not a problem for the PolarWedge. You can print all parts without supports. Hint: Print the Rack on the side and the knob on the small diameter, it works! Parts, you need to assemble: 1x M8x45mm Hex Screw VA 1x Locking lever M8 1x M4x60mm Threaded Rod VA 1x M4 Hex Nut VA 1x M4 Hex Nut witch cap VA 1-2x 1/4" Nut VA - one for the wedge, ode for the base without Arca-Swiss. 1x M4 Insert max. 10mm long for the Rack 1 drop of superglue for a nut on the M4 threaded rod 1 drop of Loctite 243 for the nut with cap in the knob
