Linear Electric High Force Actuator

This is a SolidWorks 2014 Part model of McMaster-Carr's P/N 2236K1, High Force Electric Linear Actuator. To create an electrical safety interlock, I added an additional part with a tapered interlock profile to the end of the actuator. Here are its specs:Stroke Length - 2" is impressive. In its retracted position, this unit measures 9 1/2". The extended length, on the other hand, clocks in at 11 1/2" making it easy to work with.Electrically speaking, a steady input voltage of 24V DC can handle high-force tasks all day long.Duty cycle requirements for this actuator dictate an entire minute on and 9 minutes off for sustained efficiency at top speed of 21 inches per minute.Accordingly, this part is designed to perform high-pressure work. Max push and pull force measures at an impressive 449 lbs.Power is drawn via a convenient plug-in connection.Part design incorporates a fixed stroke, providing stability during heavy use.In assembly mode, the unit operates within a compact height envelope of 6 1/2 inches from its mounting base.Every component counts – housing material in this model comprises robust plastic for added durability. The actuator also allows for zero adjustability since maximum displacement has been set at two whole inches.Anyone needing such capabilities would find use here; assembly "Sketch8" aids integration within mechanical setups.Feel free to review my SolidWorks work - included files available in STEP & IGES formats.Add a comment, send an approval message with this heart; thanks
