Linear edge nozzle: brass nozzle insert for better heat transfer and faster printing

It's a nozzle insert that fits snugly inside a 3mm nozzle and is designed to accommodate 1.75mm filament. The insert forces molten plastic through a narrow gap between its rib and the nozzle wall before it can exit out of the nozzle tip. I had this printed with Shapeways in unpolished brass. My tests using PLA yielded some interesting results: at 220C, I achieved a speed range from 60 to 110 mm/s. When I increased the temperature to 260C, my speeds ranged from 70 to 150 mm/s. This design is inspired by linear injection filters commonly used in injection molding. The original inspiration can be found here: https://www.emicorp.com/wps/portal/c/end-of-barrel/nozzles/linear-edge-filter I designed this using OnShape, and you can view the CAD file here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/8b0bd71a30de8849dd0c0b02/w/045b2f80ea82abea22f7d898/e/13f6d65452379a96fabfbaad
