Linear Carriage

Designing a Prototype Z-Axis Linear Carriage for My CNC Plasma Cutter. I'm repurposing an old Anet A8 kit from Amazon, which cost me only $80. To ensure optimal performance, I'll temporarily shield the bottom with aluminum foil to gauge its effectiveness. If this design works out, I'll create the parts using either aluminum or steel materials. This is simply a basic design replica. I'm utilizing 40mm square tubing with one side removed for smooth movement. If needed, I can modify the design to incorporate electrical strut components. The Z-axis will be attached to a linear rail that handles the Y-axis movement.
