Linear Bearing Y Stage for Cupcake

thingiverse

Upgrade your Cupcake with a Y stage featuring SW4G linear bearings. The compact, lightweight design fits Makerbot's Cupcake models and now includes an 8mm version for compatibility with some Cupcake rods. Added are two experimental versions tailored to the Lowrider, available in 1/4" and 8mm options. Original Rhino 3D files provided. The printed part requires no support material despite overhangs caused by bearing tubes. Seamlessly insert bearings into tubes; use plumbing tape for shimming if needed. Superglue magnets in place, then attach belts using 3mm bolts and belt plate. Four hex nut pockets are available on corner arms for leveling screw installation. The bearings used can be found here: http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit12770?gclid=CK79uLj9rbMCFUKd4Aod52gAHA; prices may vary, so consider Ebay alternatives. Note: 8mm version is untested, assuming rod spacing is the same as original model.
