Linear bearing with 6mm airsoft bbs for 8mm rod
thingiverse
This is a linear bearing that works seamlessly with 6mm airsoft BBs. Print the STL, filling every hole with three BBs before securely gluing the cap in place to keep the BBs stable. I've successfully printed it in ABS material, scaling up by 1% to prevent restrictions and minor errors common in printing, likely suitable for good printers that can print at natural dimensions. Using standard plastic BBs with a lubricant yields impressive results; steel or ceramic BBs are probably a better option, which I plan to test soon. Note: The external diameter of this bearing is not equivalent to traditional 3D printer linear bearings; it measures exactly 23.32 mm. Print Settings: Printer: HICTOP Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Notes: For my initial print, I conducted a rapid test with 0.8mm walls and 0% infill, which surprisingly produced a strong enough bearing to be used. Post-Printing: Fill every hole with three BBs. Glue the cap without allowing excess glue to drain into the holes. It's recommended to lubricate the bearing for optimal performance.
