Linear Bearing Mounted Light Bar
thingiverse
This light bar is engineered to mount securely on the rear of the print head carriage situated atop the linear bearing block. To ensure a solid attachment, you'll need to tap the two bottom holes in the block to accommodate M4 screws. There are two versions of this light bar available, giving you the freedom to choose between having the light positioned closer to the nozzle or further away, allowing for the installation of a large cooling duct if desired. Featuring 50 mm of LED light strip, easily sourced from numerous eBay sellers by searching for "12 volt Flexible LED Light Strip", I utilized the 5630 warm white with 60 LEDs per meter. These high-intensity lights are both affordable and energy-efficient. The wires were connected to the E3D cooling fan, causing the lights to activate when the printer is powered up. Due to its minimal current draw, this setup will not noticeably affect the fan's speed.
