This linear bearing holder is for Ultimaker's axis drive system, replacing wooden blocks that house brass bearings. It also clamps a drive belt and secures one end of a 6mm rod. Combining Gijs's belt tensioner with this holder, the recommended LM8UU 8mm linear bearing can be purchased on eBay but may require a rubber mallet for installation. The belt slips into the curved clamp without slipping when pulled by hand and relies on a snug fit. No extra parts or screws are needed. Print with natural PLA at 5% infill, as solid color PLA may be brittle. Choose between a version with an extruded rectangular arm to trigger an end stop and one without. This part is untested, but the linear bearing, belt, and rod fit tightly in testing. Overall compatibility and durability remain unknown; good luck.
