Linear Bearing for 3/4" (18.9mm) square tubes
thingiverse
Here is my design for a rugged and dependable linear bearing made from square tube. I used 3/4" aluminum square tubing and 16 skateboard bearings (8x16x5 mm). The bearing glides effortlessly on the square tube with minimal play. This concept can be applied to create laser engraving machines, CNC machines, and other precision devices. Here's a link to the video showcasing the testing and assembly process of this setup: https://youtu.be/CMBUchu-sCk The side plates were fabricated using a CNC machine, but you can also 3D print them if you don't have access to a CNC machine.
