Linear Bearing (16mm tube)
thingiverse
This linear bearing comprises five discrete sections, each fabricated as a standalone unit. Nineteen precision copper spheres, measuring exactly 3.2 millimeters in diameter, are individually positioned within these sections. These precision spheres were sourced from the renowned Dutch website http://www.huis-en-comfort.nl/Glasreiniger-kogeltjes-480899.html?group=765764. To adapt this bearing to accommodate larger tube diameters, merely design an expanded outer housing with a pentagonal shape and enlarge its dimensions accordingly; the pre-fabricated sections will effortlessly nest within these enlarged corners, providing exceptional smoothness in motion. Take pleasure in exploring your creativity! To achieve optimal results, meticulously print each section using a calibration-verified printer. Ensure that your printing setup doesn't excessively use plastic material. Printing too little is more desirable than printing excessively, especially when attempting to attain precise, silky-smooth finishes. When printing my sections, I intentionally employed 10% less material flow compared to the typical, calibrated printing procedure for best results.
