Linear Actuator PKM C02
grabcad
In 2015, I worked on a linear actuator project called PKM C02. The customer provided the product which was disassembled and measured manually without using 3D scanning technologies. Subsequently, it was redrawn in SolidWorks 2015. Mechanisms were calculated with special software and online engineering calculators like GearTrax for gear mechanisms and Advanced Mechanical Engineering Solutions' website for Metric Trapezoidal Threads (ACME threads) dimensions. Standard elements such as springs, bearings, screws, washers, pins, and o-rings were used in ISO standard. The Actuator was then 3D printed partially, using parts like bearings, screws, and springs while other non-printed parts remained standard (metal). The plastic Actuator was printed on a Dimension 1200es by the customer who later shared pictures of his work in social networks. The purpose of reverse engineering was to assist the customer in creating a new Actuator. He has also shared photos of his 3D printing work, which is quite impressive. However, he has not uploaded any videos on YouTube yet. Here are some links to his work - https://vk.com/album12801868_241862009 and http://uptrail.com.ua/. I respect the customer's privacy, so I don't upload full SolidWorks models but provide files for viewing (3D PDF; pictures; photos; SolidWorks assemblies) within a project folder using GrabCAD 3D viewer. The software used includes SolidWorks, GearTrax, and SW Motion.
With this file you will be able to print Linear Actuator PKM C02 with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Linear Actuator PKM C02.
