Line Tensioner

Line Tensioner

thingiverse

This is a small-line tensioner designed specifically for my Two Up, built with a pulley mod to address ongoing issues of it loosening over time. I created this solution to enable simple line tensioning, similar to how you tighten a clothesline. Utilizes an M3 nut and bolt for construction. Tested with 12-pound fishing line that exhibits minimal stretch. Instructions Tap the center hole with an M3 tap carefully, taking note: do not drill out to 3mm! The most effective way to attach the fishing line to the bolt while allowing spinning is to use side cutters to slice about halfway through the screw. This produces two channels where you can tie a knot for secure attachment. Apply a drop of super glue and it functions flawlessly. A jam nut located on the backside keeps the tensioner from backing off under stress.
