Linarite with minor brochantite
sketchfab
This specimen, on display in a museum case at the University of North Dakota, was initially mislabeled as "linnaeite on calcite from Bingham, New Mexico." However, upon closer inspection, it appears that this identification was incorrect. The blue mineral, now clearly visible, is actually linarite, a hydrated lead copper sulfate, while a small amount of light green mineral has been identified as brochantite, another hydrated copper sulfate compound. Furthermore, the light-colored matrix in which these minerals are embedded is predominantly composed of barite.
