A bulk supply of open belt material is stored on hand, eliminating the need for specialized timing belts with precise length requirements. The belt is wrapped around its designated path and then cut to match the exact number of teeth needed. Next, a clamp is lowered into position, securing the ends of the belt to the pulley with precision. As the clamp comes into place, it also triggers two limit switches that detect a full 90 degrees of shaft rotation, ensuring accurate alignment and preventing damage.
