Limestone Indian Warrior Bas Relief Panel

This limestone panel of Native American Warrior is the perfect match for its companion, Native American Maiden, both proudly displayed by Phillips Avenue entrance to First National Bank Building. Like his partner, he and the nearby limestone eagle have survived the demolition of the former 1920s bank building decor, where anything old was deemed unworthy of saving. Fortunately, these limestone panels and sculpture were spared from the wrecking ball that brought down so many historic structures during America's urban renewal push in the 1950s-1970s. Today, the warrior and his maiden are a favorite spot for people to stop and take photos with.
