Dark-toned limestone concretions are featured in Des Moines Series specimens. These were scanned by Artur Pacyga at Dr. Franek Hasiuk's GeoFabLab, a facility within the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences at Iowa State University. The scanning was done using a MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner set on its "Dark" mode.
