LimbBo Stix V2 - A Drumstick Adaptation For Limb Different Children

thingiverse

This is a device designed specifically for kids born or living with an upper limb difference, making it easier for them to play drums. The child must have a functioning elbow and at least 35mm of nub length for this device to work properly. The device consists of two main parts: a stick holder and a cuff. Both components require thermoforming using hot water or a hairdryer. We are currently working on creating a shaped mould, which will be available soon. To construct the device, you'll need several additional items: 2 velcro straps 2 M3 x 16mm Allen Head Bolts 2 M3 Locking Nuts 2 M3 Washers 1 small tie wrap 1 M3 X 30mm + 3mm Locking Nut (optional) And of course, a drumstick! We're currently working on making this part customizable to larger sizes, which we hope will be available soon. Two forming jigs have been added to simplify the thermoforming process. Some slight changes have been made to improve the design by widening it and adjusting the tie wrap holes.
