D model description LimbLift provides the needed support for heavily loaded fruit tree limbs. It prevents the breakage or cracking of fruit tree branches. Print with or PLA or for longer life, print with PETG or UV resistant ASA filament, LimbLift fits onto the end of a commonly available 1 x 2 inch furring strip and is secured with a self drilling screw. The furring strip (normally available in 8 foot lengths) is cut to whatever length is required. It is put in place by having one person gently lift the tree branch while another person places LimbLift into position, cradling the branch in the cushioned U and bringing the support into a vertical position underneath the branch. A self adhesive rubber strip is added to protect the tree branch. This version prints faster and uses less filament. A piece of vinyl tubing of proper diameter can be slit lengthwise and placed over the cradle section to cushion the limb.
