Lily Pipe for shallow tank
thingiverse
I cannot find any lily pipes for my shallow tank 45x24x18 LWH 5mm glass thickness that can be used with 8mm ID flexible tubes. So let's create one. This is applicable for water level with 10mm gap from rim. This is my first upload and sorry if I violated any rules (if any). I'll make it up on next. I'll keep updating this until I'm satisfied with the results. Updates: 1. water_out_02 is my second attempt with capillary break and 40mm wide noozle. Capillary break is the notch located on top of clip in water side - to prevent the water from seeping out through the contacted surface between the part and glass. I made it 40mm wide to reduce the pressure buildup on my DIY filter canister. It popped out the air-tight cover after adjusting the pump power. 2. water_out_03 is my third attempt. Tube connector is aligned in the backside of my tank to hide the tube and to remove the 90 degree bend on the tube. Depth and angle of noozle can now be adjusted according to water level. Noozle is 50x0.5 mm. I guess it looks better if immersed but I haven't tried. 3. water_out_04 is my last attempt. I lowered the tube connector by 7.5mm to hide it totally in the back of my tank. I enlarged the inner duct to 10mm wide (actually outside dimension) before the noozle. I chamfered the inside of noozle to reduce hanging filaments due to bdriging. Noozle is now 90x0.5 mm. I'm planning to put air pump intake for aeration but maybe next time.
