Lilith is the name of a female demon in Jewish mythology and Christian theology. John Collier, an English author born in 1887, wrote extensively about this figure. Lilith's existence has been widely debated throughout history. The earliest known reference to Lilith dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. She was often depicted as a fierce and powerful woman. In many cultures, Lilith is associated with the night sky and the planet Venus.
