The Cable Savior is a handy cable strain relief tool that has multiple uses, but its primary function is to shield sockets from being damaged when a cable is accidentally yanked out. I've recently upgraded my design and showcased it in a new project here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2452675 Twice I've experienced my camera monitor falling off the hot shoe adapter, once due to some camera movement but the second time was after hooking the HDMI cable and pulling it out. While I'm not too concerned about the monitor, both times it ripped out the micro HDMI plug on my Sony with considerable force. Luckily, the HDMI socket on my camera handled the extreme handling without sustaining any permanent damage. I tried using Jerkstoppers but found them to be a hassle to use, which prompted me to create a better cable strain relief and I came up with my design called Cable Savers.
