Lightweight Frame V7 for E010 / Tiny Whoop
thingiverse
This is a lightweight frame I designed specifically for my E010. The frame alone weighs about 3.3g when printed in ABS, and it's incredibly durable - PLA also works perfectly. I believe this frame will also serve as an excellent Tiny Whoop frame replacement. A battery holder bracket is included (fits the stock E010 battery), and it needs to be super glued to the bottom of the frame. Flight: Updated flight characteristics - Without the FPV camera on board, flight performance is exceptional on this frame using the stock E010 flight controller, motors, props, and battery. Flight is incredibly fast in high-rates mode, and flight time is quite respectable as well. A higher capacity battery is definitely necessary for using the FPV camera, unless you're satisfied with 2-minute flights. The flight characteristics with this frame are significantly different than those of the original E010. It's extremely agile and tends to glide or drift, likely due to its low drag profile. To explain what I mean by "glide", imagine flying the drone forward, then suddenly setting the pitch control to neutral. The drone's pitch angle will level out, but continue to fly forward for some distance while it slows down. A reverse control input is required to stop the drone when desired. It's not a bad thing at all, but I just wanted to let you know about this difference because it is slightly different than the stock drone characteristics. Printing: Frame - simply print it flat on the bed with the flat side facing down. No supports are necessary.
