Lightweight and stiff E3D Hemera installation on CR10s Pro with BLTouch
thingiverse
Introducing a lightweight and stiff mounting method for the E3D Hemera on a CR10s Pro. The Hemera itself is mounted using three 5mm spacers with M3x12 screws and 3x0,5mm retaining washers directly under each screw-head. Three 3mm holes have to be drilled into the extruder carriage for mounting the hemera. Use PLA for higher stiffness. No support needed. Gyroid or Cubic infill recommended. As fan duct i can highly recommend this one here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4042492 Material: ------------- 3 x M3x12 screw 3 x M3x6 screw 1 x M3x8 screw 3 x M3 spacer 5mm height 9 x M3 retaining washer (0,5 mm thickness each) 2 x M3 hex nut (Mounting screws for BLTouch not included) Pay attention that your bed is not set too low otherwise the z-axis will not be able to go low enough and collide with the lower limit. Use some spacers to raise the bed e.g. 5 mm to be on the save side.
