Lightweight 4in Diameter Traction Wheel
thingiverse
This is a 4in Traction Wheel designed for use in FIRST Robotics Competitions on robot drive systems. It's meant to be used with a length of 1in wide traction tread material just like you would with any standard traction wheel from VexPro or Andymark, but at reduced weight. These wheels feature the standard 1.875 in mounting hole pattern found on most FRC wheels. The axle hole can accommodate up to two standard 1.125" flanged bearings that mount flush to the surface of the wheel, or VexPro "VersaHubs". Tread can be attached with 8-32 screws and nuts using the included mounting holes which makes changing tread easy without removing the wheel from the robot. Don't use pop-rivets to attach tread to these wheels! These wheels have been proven durable for up to three district events (during the 2018 season) before any replacement is necessary. Depending on application, you may see some degradation of the edge of the wheel rim where the tread sits over time, this is normal and purely aesthetic. Wheels should be replaced if any damage is found in areas that directly support the tread or mounting holes. Total weight using eSUN PLA+ material: ~0.224lbs per wheel (wheel only, no tread or hardware included)
