My First Official Sculpt! I'm thrilled to share my first official sculpt, a testament to my creative endeavors as an Artillerist Artificer in D&D 5e who has a passion for bugs. This is the first of three sculpts I've crafted specifically for my character, and I'm excited to provide all the necessary files to create both lighted and non-lighted versions. I aimed to keep the form factor compact enough to fit on a 1"x1" square, so instead of using a switch, I designed a battery pack that can be added whenever you want a glow. To achieve this, I prototyped in PLA (using an I3 Mega S) and finished in resin (with Photon). While the FDM model may require some extra cleanup, both materials should work well. The files included allow for printing with or without a base or in three parts for easier support – although, when printed in three parts, the bulb has been cut to fit the LED conduit. Most of this model was created from scratch on Gravity Sketch using my Oculus Quest, but I utilized Valandar's rocky base, which can be found in their released pack: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3067745. To create the Lighted version, you'll need: A 5mm LED or any color (I chose yellow) – available at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073QMYKDM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A 2032 Coin Battery – also found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MC4L4P8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A small strip of sheet metal (steel or copper) cut to fit. I used 25 gauge sheet steel, as it was readily available. An M3x4 flat head screw to secure the metal in place – super glue might be a simpler solution. A 1 3mmx8mm cylinder neodymium magnet for the negative terminal – I found mine at Home Depot. When printed in resin, the magnet was slightly loose but seemed to fit well after priming and painting. The light design may appear crude, but it suits my needs for now. I might refine it in the future. Feel free to share your thoughts or questions!
