TL;DR: Successfully remodeled the lightstand at 50% scale, ensuring a smoother printing process. My 120x120mm printing bed initially prevented me from printing the original-scale model due to excessive fusing of gaps. After testing, I discovered that the center rod was stuck, causing damage every time I attempted to unlock the moving plate. I tried modifying existing STLs in Blender by scaling the object and increasing gaps, but the results were still subpar with too many gaps. Undeterred, I decided to start from scratch and remodeled the entire lightstand in Onshape. This allowed me to achieve a 50% scale model with perfectly sized 0.5mm gaps and M3 holes for screws instead of printed knurled knobs. I appreciate the original designer's challenge and their exceptional design example, which inspired me to push my skills further.
