A novel method of enhancing 3D-printed sculptures is by incorporating an LED, credited to Thingiverse user richgain. The LED can be inserted into a hole in the sculpture and powered with translucent PLA for a striking effect. This technique may also apply to other sculptures, but remember to add a resistor to protect the LED from damage.
