Print the saber parts as "spiral vase" and ensure excellent layer adhesion. Searching for a material that's sturdy enough is a challenge. ColorFabb's XT has been the best option so far. (It should have come as no surprise that some sanding would be involved when printing a lightsaber.) If the cones are too loose, apply sticky tape to the top ends to increase the diameter. A big thank you for any suggestions on better cones that can withstand kids aged 6 and 9! This baby goes from 200 to 1000 mm with just a flick of the wrist! Oh yeah; I've also included a less feminine "laser generator" endcap.
