Lightsaber
thingiverse
This is my inaugural attempt at crafting a Star Wars Lightsaber design, so I opted for simple shapes that will allow for extensive customization in future iterations. I'm envisioning several innovative features for upcoming versions: A system that keeps the blade contained when the handle is positioned downwards. Incorporating mechanoid components into the handle. Integrating LED lights and sound effects into the rear section of the handle (this only makes sense when using transparent filament to print the blade). A pneumatic mechanism to release and retract the blade. Since I'm uncertain about implementing these features, please feel free to modify or remix this design as you see fit. I anticipate that this model will remain a work-in-progress for an extended period of time. One final cautionary note: be extremely cautious when experimenting with this device. The physical forces generated by various materials can cause parts of the lightsaber to break off, so exercise restraint and use common sense. After all, this is made from plastic!
