Lightsaber (collapsible blade)

these stl files create an Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber with an extendable blade that retracts into the handle the hilt is split into 4 pieces that can be glued together but some of the pieces will just fit without glue. the blade stl file doesn't show but it is downloadable. i did not design the blade it was made by yeetkus- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4975407/files, it is a really great design so thank you yeetkus when constructed the hilt is 200mm long. when retracted the blade is 180mm long and 26mm wide so it fits inside the hilt with enough room for glue. the blade extends to 30cm long its a bit short but it works ( the blade piece didn't print properly so i used 3 random sections but the blade still extends and retracts with ease). i have also included 2 stl files for a lightsaber clip that slides on to a belt attachment so you can hang this lightsaber on your belt. i did not make these 2 stl they were design by FarFlyer for their lightsaber but i have slightly modified the clip to glue onto the outside of my lightsaber and also to make it smaller because it was a bit big for this saber. thank you FarFlyer i loved your lightsaber and the and the belt attachment so i will put the link to the original stl of their lightsaber with the clip https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4861437 assembly: 1. download the attached stl files 2. print each piece in your desired colours (you may need to file or sand down some of the pieces to get them to fit in the slots) 3. attach each piece to the hilt with super glue hot-glue or by sliding them into the slots 4. coat the largest section of the blade in glue (ensure the blade is extended) 5. place the glue covered piece into the hilt and hold until the glue is set 6. ensure all glue is solid and enjoy your creation this is my first post so thank you for viewing it please like this post if you found it helpful and follow me @HCoughlan to see my future posts. if you have any questions about the creation or how to make your own please leave a comment or email me Hcoughlan.nz@gmail.com (please put thingiverse as the email subject) thank you
